Come Worship. Come Grow. Come Belong. jOIN US SUNDAY!

Rev. Fitzgerald Lee of Paradise AME Zion Church delivered a moving and impactful message that stirred every heart in the room. The message reminded us that a mother’s tears are never ignored by God. Her prayers carry power, her faith brings breakthrough, and even in her silent struggles, God is already moving on her behalf.

Bro. Cedric Thompson, Chairman of the Trustee Board, and Trustee Board Member Sis. Delores Cromartie proudly presented our beautiful pastor with flowers and a special gift on behalf of the church family. To her left is her son, Douglas Baggett, sharing in this special moment of love and appreciation. We are grateful for our pastor’s faithful leadership, compassionate heart, and unwavering dedication to God’s people.

Mother Mary H. Maynor, who is joyfully approaching her 99th birthday, joined us for our Mother’s Day Celebration. Her presence was a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness, strength, and enduring grace through the generations. During the celebration, she blessed the congregation by reading a heartfelt poem that inspired and encouraged everyone in attendance. We honor and celebrate Mother Maynor for the wisdom, love, and legacy she continues to share with our church family.

At Little Marsh Chapel AME Zion Church, we spread the message of peace and love through Jesus Christ. Rooted in faith, we are committed to evangelism, discipleship, community, liberation, and service. Guided by the call to “Touch Heaven to Change Earth,” we seek to bring hope, healing, and love to all. We endeavor “Love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with our entire mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.”

The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church professes the historical faith in God, who by Himself – outpouring, was manifest incarnate in Jesus Christ for our salvation. By God’s grace and the power of His Holy Spirit all believers become the new humanity. The incarnation having reached its completion in Jesus, who is the Christ, is continuing in the Church and is overcoming the calamity of the human predicament. We strive in the hope that the Church will grow from sinful existence through purification to oneness with God.
Our Heritage in doctrine and our present theological task demand that we renew our faith and understanding of the love of God, our Father, and the Lordship of His Son, Jesus. We believe that all who have faith in Him will be empowered and invigorated by the Holy Spirit to risk all for the reconciling work and fulfillment of the Kingdom of God.

The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church was founded in 1796 in New York City, born from a desire for freedom, dignity, and equality in worship. Known as the Freedom Church, AME Zion has been a voice for faith and justice, producing leaders such as Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, and Frederick Douglass.
Little Marsh Chapel carries forward this powerful legacy in our own community. From our beginnings as a gathering place for faith and fellowship, we have grown into a church family committed to nurturing spiritual growth, strengthening families, and serving as a beacon of hope. With hearts lifted to heaven and hands reaching out in service, we continue to live out our calling to “Touch Heaven to Change Earth.”

At Little Marsh Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, our Living Legacy Museum reflects our commitment to honoring those who paved the way before us. Through education, storytelling, and shared history, we inspire compassion, respect, and understanding, believing that by learning from the past and uplifting one another, we help build a stronger future for generations to come.
